LOCTITE® 577 is a versatile, medium-strength thread sealant designed for locking and sealing threaded metal pipes and fittings. Ideal for both straight/straight and straight/taper threads, it fills the space between threaded parts, providing an instant, low-pressure seal that resists loosening from vibration. This product offers excellent gap performance up to 0.25 mm and cures reliably even on inactive metals like stainless steel without surface activation. It’s highly tolerant of minor surface contaminants from cutting fluids, lubricants, and anti-corrosion treatments. LOCTITE 577 also meets the stringent requirements for hydrogen gas systems, certified by KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214.
