LOCTITE® 567 is an off-white, single-component methacrylate thread sealant designed for the locking and sealing of coarse, tapered metal threads up to M80/R3″. This UL-approved sealant cures anaerobically, forming a strong bond in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, effectively preventing leakage and loosening due to shock and vibration. LOCTITE 567’s high lubricating properties prevent galling on metals like stainless steel and aluminum, ensuring ease of disassembly. It also offers excellent performance in high-temperature environments and remains effective despite minor contamination from oils such as cutting, lubrication, and anti-corrosion fluids.
